Liwa

A 200 kilomètres au sud-ouest d'Abu Dhabi se trouvent les plus grandes dunes de sable du pays. Beaucoup d'itinéraires sont envisageables notamment Abu Dhabi - Hamim - Al Ain - Abu Dhabi, un beau périple de 450 kilomètres.

One of the longest, most remote and most interesting trip, offering views of some of the highest sand dunes anywhere in the Emirates, Liwa is situated on the edge of Rub Al Khali, "The empty quarter" bordering Saudi Arabia. During the trip to Liwa, the colour of the sand can shifts from white to yellow, red, and deep red. The size, shape and configuration of the sand dunes are ever-changing so there are no dull moments in this journey.
